Friends of Nepal Association (“FONA”) respects and values your privacy.
The following constitutes FONA’s Privacy Policy in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles for the collection, protection and use of the personal and private information we receive from donors and users to this website.
Personal Information
FONA collects personal information when a user subscribes to our newsletters and announcements or sends us a message using the website contact form. FONA also collects personal information about donors in connection with their donation. FONA does not sell, share, rent or trade this information to a third party, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organisations.
Email Updates
FONA provides email updates to keep interested users to our website informed of developments and events related to our mission. In order to receive these updates you must provide FONA with your name and email address. This information will be held securely, and FONA will not sell, rent, trade or otherwise reveal this information to a third party without your consent. You will be given the option to remove your name from our email list at the bottom of each email update.
Online Donations
Your online donations are safe and secure. Where FONA accepts donations on its website, it uses industry-standard SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption to protect the confidentiality of your personal information and the security of your transaction during transmission.
Donations made through our website are in compliance with PCI data security standards. We do not store or retain your credit/debit card information after the transaction is processed.
FONA makes available PayPal and Stripe to process donations. When you make a donation via PayPal or Stripe on the FONA web site, your personal information is subject to PayPal or Stripe’s data collection practices respectively.
