Volunteer

Volunteering is an incredibly rewarding way of contributing and engaging with our work at first hand, both in Australia and in the countries where we operate. We are keen to hear from people with specific skills or expertise that can contribute to our programs and work in areas of research or in-country capacity building, as well as general volunteers for help with our community and fundraising activities.

If you have any of the skills listed, or would like to help out generally, and want to know more about volunteering opportunities with FONA, please email us at [email protected]

SHARING YOUR SKILLS AND TIME

The areas where we seek help are:

  • Teacher training
  • School management
  • Policy writing
  • Project management
  • Finance management / treasury
  • Project management construction
  • General helping out at/for fundraising and events
  • Fundraising and grants

Internships / Work Placements

FONA has a limited number of internship places available each year for students and graduates looking to deepen their knowledge and apply their skills both in Australia and overseas. Internships are for a duration of between 2 weeks to 3 months, and provide an opportunity to gain exposure to business and research leaders in their field and gain new experiences.

Partnering with FONA and the local community has been a life-changing opportunity. I have so much love for the community.

- Shreeya Pandey, FONA intern
